Climate change projections for South Africa will be outlined. Adaptation to these changes and the concepts of exposure, vulnerability and resilience will be described.
2. Increased average temperatures and number of very hot days
Settlement and built environment adaptations for hotter temperatures and very hot days will be presented.
3. Droughts and water shortages
Settlement and built environment adaptations for droughts and water shortages will be presented.
4. Extreme weather and flooding
Settlement and built environment adaptations for extreme weather and flooding will be presented.
5. Are there tools and guides that you can use?
Tools and guides that you can use to develop buildings that are more resilient to climate change are presented.
